Professional Jeweller has just released its HOT100 list for 2011, and the news that made my summer was that Matt Foster London was included.

Here is the Take Flight turquoise and faceted onyx winged pendant that I've restrung and added one of my new disc logos which I think finishes it off nicely.

After many entirely sleepless nights in the run up I have now exhibited at Treasure during London Jewellery Week 2011.  It was a brilliant experience with some great contacts made, which I look forward to following up once I return from a short break in New York...

A visit to Portobello was on to source the perfect outdated coins for the job...
Being a very light hearted playful piece, I couldn't resist on seeing the slot machine coin with its slogan "Loaned for amusement only" it had to become the centrepiece..  : )

I then returned to the studio to begin a marathon hand saw cutting session...The individual silver back links were then created and soldered in place, before the pieces were linked together..
Just in time for a final polish before being silver plated and handed over to its new owner...
